My internship at CoffeeClick

Introducing

I am Daan de Sanders, 19 years old and the new intern at CoffeeClick. At the moment I am having a gap year and next year I will be studying in Amsterdam. The past two weeks I have supported CoffeeClick's marketing team and learned a lot! I am happy to take you through my experience within CoffeeClick.

Nice colleagues and a friendly atmosphere

When I first walked in here, I was warmly welcomed. It took some getting used to getting back to work after a long time, but fortunately I was very well guided by Nick, the head of the marketing department. The colleagues at CoffeeClick are passionate and enthusiastic about the work they do.

Furthermore, the work atmosphere at CoffeeClick was one of the biggest drivers of my successful internship. The fun activities during breaks (pool and racing!) and the best way to end the week: a fun online Friday afternoon drink.

What did I learn?

The thrust of my internship, of course, was to learn a lot. And I did! I didn't expect to do so many different things during my internship at CoffeeClick. I found out that Marketing is not just one thing. In fact, it is an incredibly broad sector. Not only do you deal with everything that is involved in marketing a brand and its product, but also with the customer himself. Advising, thinking, inventing, creating and following relevant developments in the marketing field. Extremely broad so.

Different types of marketing

I also learned about Inbound Marketing, which is combining three types of Internet marketing: Content marketing, search engine optimization and social media. This is an incredibly essential form of marketing that is already very important today and is becoming increasingly important!

I also learned about cold acquisition. This is basically approaching potential customers who do not yet have a relationship with the company. We did this by handing out flyers and telling them about our concept. To my mind, this was a very effective way of advertising because you make it much more personal than through other ways of advertising.

Lastly, I delved into the CoffeeClick concept. What does CoffeeClick entail? What do we do in terms of sustainability? What makes our company so special? It's very simple. Based in Amsterdam, CoffeeClick is more than a Managed Coffee Service company, it is truly a partnership with the customer. We provide high quality machines, freshly roasted beans and great service so all you have to do is choose your coffee.

It's all-in the click, it's as simple as that.
