Our very own Dr. Coffee:

We would like to introduce you to our Danny. Better known to us as Dr. Coffee. With all your questions about coffee you have come to the right place. Before he joined the CoffeeClick club 5 years ago, he worked in the coffee industry for 16 years at Nestlé. By studying Commercial Economics he laid the foundation for his career in the coffee industry.

What exactly does he do within CoffeeClick?

In his own words: "I mainly deal with acquiring new customers. As team leader, I coach our sales team. With two pairs of eyes and ears, together we arrive at the best solution for companies, institutions and associations. Thanks to this advice, we are fortunate to greet new customers every week. In addition, I also manage a number of existing customers." So a real specialist that Danny.

So what makes working at CoffeeClick so special we asked him. According to Danny, several factors are important in this. First of all there is of course the way of offering that makes him energized by what he does. He himself says: "Our way of offering differs in every way from other providers in the industry. It gives a lot of energy and satisfaction when a prospect indicates that he sees the added value of our way of working and does business with you. On the one hand you then greet a new customer of course, but at the same time this also confirms that with our concept we are able to win from any other provider."

That other factor? The friendly but hard-working team, of course. On the shop floor, they enjoy an informal working atmosphere. Suits have given way to casual neat clothing. And besides the hard work, there is also time for relaxation. In the game room, well-deserved relaxation is regularly enjoyed with a game of pool, darts or a digital ride in our very own Red Bull playseat!

To give you the clearest possible picture of Danny's position within CoffeeClick, we asked him a few more questions.

What part of your job do you really like and what part do you like a little less?
I developed an interest in large government tenders and mastered this discipline. In 2019, we won the first one with CoffeeClick and that tasted like more. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience, but the win makes up for everything. At the same time, losing once is also part of the job; so I find that part of the job less fun and then I am very unpleasant for a while....

What accomplished result are you proud of?
Last year, CoffeeClick asked me to lead a new sales team as team leader. After three months the plan could be thrown out by Covid-19 and we had to switch, regroup and move on. In the end, we were able to achieve excellent results, thanks in part to the companies, institutions and associations that became clients in 2020, including another tender win. To start in such a year in a new role and deliver this performance with our team makes me proud and gives a lot of confidence for 2021.

What do you find relaxation in?
In general, I enjoy my work so much that it feels like relaxation. Healthy tension about achieving your goals or completing a tough negotiation is part of the job. And when that tension gets a little too much, I throw a dart on the dartboard or play a game of pool in our game room. Because with effort comes a little relaxation. I also rarely skip the Friday afternoon drinks ...
